Andrés came downstairs the other day and said: "Mum, I've just seen a funny bird; what was it?"I got my bird book out and flicked through until I found something which coincided with his description. "Yes, that's it!"
It was the hoopoe; not very rare, but I haven't seen one from our house before. They are colourful and pleasing to see.
