Spring run

The app told me this is Dutch elm

I went for a lovely run this morning, down by the side of the Aragon river in Jaca. The trees are showing their spring glory. I had to stop and take some pictures. I've been trying to identify some of them. I used the very useful app Plantnet but identifying trees in spring before the leaves are out is difficult.

I can do this one: sycamore

This lovely mist of flowers is probably blackthorn

Blackthorn

I'd say silver birch

Probably an almond tree

Oregon barberry according to Plantnet

I think it's a jacaranda, or is it a walnut tree?

Easy! It's a horse chestnut.

Hazel of some kind

I think this is the hawthorn

forsythia

Maybe Dutch elm?

Apple, probably crab apple

Such pretty flowers!

There are lots of cherry trees

Not in flower yet: this is probably the prettiest: the bird cherry

Is it a silver birch?

I'm sure I'd know if I saw it, but not like this!
