The app told me this is Dutch elm
I went for a lovely run this morning, down by the side of the Aragon river in Jaca. The trees are showing their spring glory. I had to stop and take some pictures. I've been trying to identify some of them. I used the very useful app Plantnet but identifying trees in spring before the leaves are out is difficult.

There are lots of cherry trees

Not in flower yet: this is probably the prettiest: the bird cherry

Is it a silver birch?
![]() |
I'm sure I'd know if I saw it, but not like this!
